Ruby Weddings is a bespoke wedding design service run by my good friend Georgina Webb from her HQ in South Oxfordshire. George combines a sensitive, creative and thoughtful approach to wedding planning with thorough and disciplined event management. No i is left undotted or t uncrossed when she is around, and if I hadn’t already got married last year, I’d definitely be using George make sure my big day was fairytale perfect and ran as smooth as silk.
Anyway, more about the website. George had a pretty good idea about what she wanted, so it was really a case of me slotting the pieces together and making sure that everything had been thought of. Our mutual friend Ho came up with a great design that I translated into pages, Jo helped with the copy and Louise provided some great photographs.
The website itself is pretty simple using fairly standard HTML and CSS with a few measures to improve accessibility, a few bits of JQuery to add life to the pages and a query form programmed using ASP.NET. The next stage of the project is to spread the word through social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn and a blog.
